Bulkley Valley Amateur Radio Society

Serving the hobby of Amateur Radio and the application to Public Service.

Based in the beautiful Bulkley Valley of British Columbia, Canada.

We are an organization of amateur radio operators serving the public and each other. The hobby of amateur radio (also called “ham radio”) provides technical education & practice, fellowship, and emergency communications in times of need.

The Bulkley Valley Amateur Radio Society is a registered society under the BC Societies Act. We are an affiliated club with Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC), and with the Provincial Emergency Radio Communications Service.

Membership is open to all interested persons, licenced or unlicenced. Membership includes liability insurance through RAC for amateur radio activities, access to the BVARS station (subject to licence restrictions), and helps support our facilities and public service activities.
